Train

 

The main railway station (Grimsby Town) is located in Top Town (approx. 1.5 miles from the Assessment Centre). From the station, the Assessment Centre can be reached using the bus service as detailed below, or there is a taxi rank adjacent to the station. (The bus station is about a 5min walk from train station)

 

Regular hourly train services run between Scunthorpe and Grimsby. Trains from Barton upon Humber only stop at Grimsby Docks Station which is approx. 200m around the corner from assessment centre.

Car

 

Approaching from West / Scunthorpe: Approach Grimsby via the A180. Continue on the A180 through a series of roundabouts until you see the Dock Tower on your left. Proceed onto flyover. After crossing the flyover take the slip road left immediately before the traffic lights. Take immediate left again which will take you under the flyover into Railway Street. Turn immediate left again into Cleethorpe Road. The Assessment Centre is on the right in the same building as Quayside NHS Walk-In centre (follow signs). Short Stay on street parking is available outside the Assessment Centre and in the surrounding streets.

 

Approaching from South: Follow A16 into Grimsby and onto Victoria Street until you reach the A180 roundabout, turn right, then follow the A180 instructions as above. On street short stay parking is available.

 

The parking on Cleethorpe Road outside the Assessment Centre is limited to 30 minutes. There are 2 disabled slots at the front of the building that are not time limited. The nearest car park is approx. 200 metres away on Orwell Street, which is behind Robinsons Accountants and the banks on Cleethorpe Road. This is a Pay and Display car park.

Bus

 

From Grimsby Riverhead Exchange: Buses leave from Stand D (Service number 3 to Cleethorpes) and Stand E (Service Number 9/9A to Waltham) every few minutes and drops off at East Marsh, Church Street bus stop. The Assessment Centre is around the corner from the top of Freeman Street. The walk from the bus is approx. 270 metres. The bus journey time is approximately 10 minutes.
